Community Giving
Again we regard it important to love others as we ourselves are loved by God, and part of this means to support community based efforts that help alleviate suffering. We are very privledged to be able to support the Food Pantry in Heuvelton, and to support the ministry of MINC (Ministry in the North Country). Most are familiar with the Food pantry, now hosted by the Methodist Church in town, but the ministry of MINC deserves some explanation. Briefly, it is an effort by the Presbytery of Northern New York to provide for the housing needs of lower income people, and to enable better ministry in rural areas of the country. From handicap access ramps to new roofs, from insulation to windows, from providing for ministers of small congregations, MINC lends a a helping hand where no other helping is to be found. By pooling our resources we are able to accomplish great things for the love of Jesus.
Certainly in our area and at this time there are always very many needs that remain to be fulfilled. Bring your ideas and let us work love for the sake of our Lord who first loved us so that we might love others!

Free Will Dinner
The Apostle John says, “But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.” As part of our effort to love our neighbors we offer a monthly dinner in which people may freely partake of, or make an offering for that is appropriate to their means. Our people put a lot of effort into making sure that the meal is the best we can offer, and that true hospitality is practiced towards all. You are always welcome to partake of a meal with us, and if you feel led, to participate in this ministry for others.
